Welcome! I’m Cheryl D - an artisan, interior stylist, and lifelong lover of home décor.

I design mirrors and picture frames with a bit of a twist - each piece upholstered and wrapped in luxurious fabrics and trims, much like your favorite overstuffed armchair or a perfectly styled pillow. My goal is simple: to create pieces that feel as beautiful and personal as the spaces they live in. More...

As our 2026 launch collection, Finding Joy represents a return to where it all began - bringing us beautifully, meaningfully, full circle.

Full circle from a dream born more than 40 years ago to start our own business.

From becoming a best-selling product for a major boutique chain - against all odds.

From guest designer appearances at Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s.

From realizing that to reach millions would require more capital and a broader network than we had at the time.

From making the difficult decision to pause the journey until the right moment arrived.

That moment is now.

The Finding Joy Collection brings us home - from promise to passion - by introducing our Overstuffed Luxe™ frames through our very own e-boutique. At an imperfect time in the world, we are choosing to share something deeply personal: a little joy, a lot of heart, and a mission rooted in meaning.

Every Complements of Cheryl D frame is handcrafted through a multi-step process that blends fabric, structure, and careful finishing. Each piece moves through several stages—from fabric preparation and shaping to drying, stuffing, and final detailing.

Because every frame is made to order and completed in small batches, please allow 3–5 weeks for creation and shipping.

This timeline allows each piece to be crafted with care and ensures that the frame you receive is not mass-produced, but thoughtfully made to preserve the moments that shape your life.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the photo opening smaller than on most frames?


Great question! Those smaller openings are part of the charm—and the design—of our Overstuffed Luxe™ frames. The proportions give both the upholstery fabric and your special photo a chance to shine while complementing your décor. Our signature wrapped inner corners naturally draw the eye toward the prize in the middle, creating depth and dimension much like a shadow box. It’s an intentional balance of fabric, form, and memory—designed to make the frame as much a part of the story as the photograph it holds.

Do frames hold traditionally sized photos?

Yes, though due to the handcrafting process some photos may need to be trimmed a bit for a perfect fit. The included plastic covering will be a good guide for sizing your photos.

Are frames and mirrors ready to hang?

Yes, all frames and mirrors are designed with hangers in coordinating fabrics... for functionality and visual appeal. For tabletop, we favor propping our frames in an existing vignette to add texture and color or using an easel to prominently display.
